No cause of death has been stated but a November tweet asking people to ‘Pray For Diamond’ has led to speculation the pundit was ill.
Lynette Hardaway branded covid claims as ‘fake news’
On November 30, 2022 MSN claimed Lynette Hardaway had been hospitalized with covid after the ‘Pray for Diamond’ tweet. However, the claim appears unsubstantiated.
As per The Daily Beast, Diamond dismissed unsourced online reports on her show that she, an ardent covid-19 vaccine opponent, was sick with the coronavirus as “fake news.”
Crucially, Lynette’s cause of death has not been confirmed. However, in a post to Truth Social, confirming her tragic passing, Donald Trump said her passing had been “totally unexpected.”
He added: “Probably her big and precious heart just plain gave out. Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better team anywhere or at any time!”
Diamond And Silk tweeted ‘Pray for Diamond’ in November
On November 26, 2022 Diamond And Silk’s official Twitter account appealed to followers to “please pray for Diamond” – but gave no further details.
Despite only unofficial reports that Lynette Hardway was sick, netizens who oppose the Pro-Trump duo presumed she must have had covid – prompting some unkind responses to the tweet.
Diamond And Silk became known in the public domain partly due to their controversial views surrounding covid-19, with Facebook deeming their content “unsafe to the community” in 2018.
Who are MAGA duo Diamond And Silk?
Lynette Hardaway and her sister Rochelle ‘Silk’ Richardson gained traction as Diamond And Silk among conservative circles during the 2016 election after posting a series of social media posts in support of former president Donald Trump.
The duo claimed they were Trump’s “most loyal supporters,” briefly working for the Trump campaign as field consultants, The Sun reports.
Diamond And Silk have had slots on multiple Fox News shows. The duo were given a show on Fox Nation after they were featured on programs such as Hannity, Fox News Sunday, and The Ingraham Angle. However, Fox News eventually cut ties with the duo when they claimed the number of deaths from coronavirus was a “conspiracy to hurt’ the president” in March 2020.
Right-wing media mourns Diamond: ‘Pray for Silk and the entire family’
Since the sudden announcement of Lynette’s passing, tributes and messages of condolence have surfaced online.
Donald Trump said in his Truth Social post: “Really bad news for Republicans and, frankly, ALL Americans.”
Former GOP nominee for governor of Michigan Tudor Dixon tweeted: “My heart breaks upon hearing of the tragic loss of our friend Diamond. Her personality was bigger than life with an infectious faith that undoubtedly led thousands to Christ. Her love for this country was strong and true. Rest in peace beautiful lady. Prayers for Silk and family.”
Newsmax correspondent DeAnna Lorraine said: “What a tragic lost of such a beautiful soul.”
Right Side Broadcasting tweeted: “Please pray for Silk and the entire family.”
