Chelsea attacking player Christian Pulisic could leave Stamford Bridge, according to Fabrizio Romano in CaughtOffSide, and this will encourage Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as well as Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United among other clubs.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported that Pulisic could leave Chelsea in the January transfer window if the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners bring in a new winger.

The USA international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, played well at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Pulisic is injured at the moment.

Romano’s claim will encourage the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle.

According to The Daily Mail on November 27, 2022, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool all are interested in the 24-year-old.

The report added that Chelsea could sell the American star if they get £35 million in transfer fees.

Arsenal target Christian Pulisic could leave Chelsea

Romano said: “At the moment, there is nothing concrete or advanced, but I’m told Christian Pulisic could leave the club in January if Chelsea bring in a new winger. Of course, it depends on clubs making offers and many other factors – as of now it’s a scenario and not a negotiation.”

Could the Gunners sign Pulisic?

In our view, Arsenal would find it hard to sign Christian Pulisic from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Arsenal already have a very strong attacking lineup.

And there is also Emile Smith Rowe to come back from injury.

Would Pulisic swap one London club for another where he could find himself on the bench?

Moreover, the £150,000-a-week (SalarySport) American is injured now.

So, Arsenal may not be willing to spend £35 million on a player who may not be ready to play straightaway.
