Leeds United are keen on signing Hoffenheim attacker Georginio Rutter and a ‘massive deal’ is now thought to be in the pipeline.
That’s according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who claim that Hoffenheim are now aware of Leeds chasing Rutter.
Leeds are keen to get a deal done now and talks are open over what Plettenberg describes as potentially a ‘massive deal’.
Leeds could commit to paying up to €40million (£35million) for Rutter and the Frenchman is understood to be open to a move.
The Whites clearly need another striker with Patrick Bamford’s injury problems showing no signs of going away.
Victor Orta is now pushing to sign Rutter in what looks like a hugely exciting deal for Leeds as they look to secure their Premier League status.

Who is Leeds United target Georginio Rutter?
Rutter, 20, was born in France and had spells in the ranks of Vannes and Rennes before leaving for Germany in 2021.
Hoffenheim pounced, paying just €750,000 (£660,000) to sign Rutter. What a huge profit they could make now.
After just six games in their second team, Rutter made the step up to senior level and has been a Bundesliga regular ever since.
Rutter’s record doesn’t look all that impressive; in 15 Bundesliga games this season, he has managed just two goals and two assists.
11 goals and eight assists in 64 outings looks a little better but Leeds would be paying for potential here.
Rutter actually missed Hoffenheim’s friendly against Wolfsburg on Friday, but it doesn’t look to be for a transfer reason.
Boss Andre Breitenreiter claims that Rutter hasn’t been feeling well, but that won’t stop rumours that he’s actually heading for Leeds.
Breitenreiter has also suggested that Rutter has ‘great potential’, with the German press praising his ‘unpredictable’ dribbling ability.
Rutter is a hugely exciting talent and Leeds may now believe that he can be their striker for years to come as they chase an expense deal.
