Christian Benteke has sent a positive 3-word message to Jack Butland, after he announced his loan switch to Manchester United.

Benteke, who now plays for D.C United in the MLS famously used to play for Liverpool, which means his message could potentially be seen by some as controversial, as Butland is now a Man United player.

However, one must remember that the pair played together at Crystal Palace, as recently as in 2022.

The former England international certainly deserves his plaudits for signing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, albeit on loan.

Manchester United confirmed on their official website on Friday that Jack Butland had indeed joined the club on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.

In the 2022/2023 season, Butland is yet to make an appearance for Palace across all competitions.

This does make the intent from Erik ten Hag’s side to sign him as a No.2 slightly confusing.

However, Benteke has emerged as a well-wisher for the 29-year-old who has secured the opportunity of a lifetime.

Christian Benteke sends 3-word message to Jack Butland on Manchester United move

Christian Benteke congratulated former Crystal Palace teammate, Jack Butland by sending him a 3-word message over signing for Manchester United on loan.

“Well done bro”, Benteke said on an announcement post Butland put on Instagram.

Often, No.2’s like Butland do not get their due credit for making big moves

Understandably, Jack Butland to Manchester United on loan is not a major headline.

However, No.2’s, like the Englishman must get their credit for deemed worthy enough of joining such a big club, despite on loan, as Erik ten Hag clearly sees value in his skillset and attitude.

Christian Benteke certainly does, as he sent a brief, yet positive message to Jack Butland about signing for Manchester United on loan.
