Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko, a player Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte wants to bring to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to CMW.

The Italian news outlet has claimed that Madrid are interested in signing Dzeko and could make a bid for the former Manchester City striker in the January transfer window.

The 36-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international striker is out of contract at Inter at the end of the season.

Madrid’s reported interest in Dzeko will come as a blow for Tottenham.

Spurs have also been linked with the the former AS Roma striker, who won the Premier League title twice and the FA Cup once with Manchester City.

Real Madrid interest in Edin Dzeko blow for Tottenham Hotspur

In November 2022, CMW reported that Conte wants to sign Dzeko for Tottenham in the summer of 2023.

The report in the Italian news outlet claimed that Conte has identified Dzeko as a target for Tottenham if Kane leaves at the end of the season or as his competition if he stays at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Dzeko, who earns just over £100,000 per week (Transfermarkt) net at the moment, is out of contract at Conte’s former club Inter at the end of the season.

A move to Madrid would be more appealing to the striker than a transfer to Tottenham, who could miss out on the signing of the Inter striker if Los Blancos make a bid for him in the middle of the season.
