The Athletic have reported that Graeme Jones, the joint assistant manager of Newcastle United has recommended the signing of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans for the club.
The Northern Echo stated in a recent report that Newcastle were indeed ready to make a formal enquiry for Tielemans.
It was also mentioned that Eddie Howe and Co. were keen on bringing the £120,000-a-week star to St. James’ Park in January.
Youri Tielemans has generated interest within the Premier League from several top clubs, as his current contract expires in the summer.
However, there is no questioning the Belgian central midfielder’s ability.
Despite playing in a Leicester side devoid of creativity and that have underperformed massively, Tielemans has managed to somehow look like the real deal.
Dictating the tempo of the game whilst chipping in with crucial goals from time to time, the former Anderlecht sensation remains a top option for any side that needs a midfielder.
And now it seems as if Newcastle have been advised to bring him in.
Graeme Jones tells Newcastle to sign Youri Tielemans

As per a new report by the Athletic, Graeme Jones, the joint assistant manager of Newcastle United has suggested the club to wrap up a deal for Youri Tielemams.
Interestingly enough, Jones was the joint assistant manager for Belgium under Roberto Martinez, which indicates that he has worked closely with Tielemans.
Keeping that in mind, it comes as no surprise that he has now recommended Newcastle to sign the sought-after midfielder.
Tielemans would be a massive upgrade on the current midfield options
Barring the brilliant Bruno Guimaraes, Youri Tielemans is a significant upgrade on a number of midfield options available at the club’s disposal.
While the likes of Sean Longstaff and Joelinton are brilliant workhorses, it seems as if Graeme Jones feels Tielemans would add a much-needed sense of control and technical security to Newcastle United in midfield.
With that in mind, Newcastle should perhaps listen to Jones, who knows the ins and outs of what would make Tielemans the right fit for the side.
