Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are now stepping up their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, according to The Telegraph.
The report has claimed that Arsenal want to sign Portugal international star Felix from former La Liga champions Atletico in the January transfer window.
Atletico are willing to send the 23-year-old, who can operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or winger, out on loan for the rest of the season.

That the Premier League club are reportedly stepping up their interest in Felix shows that they could be able to bid for him.
Felix has not had the best of time at Atletico, but the 23-year-old is hugely talented and would be able to make an impact at Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus is injured at the moment, and while Felix is not a natural number nine, the £155,000-a-week (SalarySport) star would give Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta a very good option in attack.
If Arsenal have to pay a loan fee to Atletico and pay Felix’s wages in full for the rest of the season to get a deal done, then they should do it.
