Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are interested in signing Jordan Pickford from Frank Lampard’s Everton and so are Graham Potter’s Chelsea, according to The Sun.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Villa are braced for offers for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina.
Chelsea are keeping tabs on Everton and England international goalkeeper Pickford, and now Villa have joined the race for the 28-year-old.
Aston Villa or Chelsea for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford?
In our opinion, Chelsea are more likely than Aston Villa to be able to tempt Jordan Pickford from Everton.
Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and regularly challenge for the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Leaving Everton for Aston Villa would be a sideways move for Pickford, while a transfer to Chelsea would be a step-up.
The 28-year-old is the England number one goalkeeper who starred at the European Championship and at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Pickford, who cost Everton £25 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Sunderland in the summer of 2017 (Sky Sports), will surely want to challenge for top honours in club football as well.
