What did Rashford do? Millions have been wondering what the Manchester United No.10 did to annoy Erik ten Hag.

The England international was dropped from the starting XI ahead of today’s Premier League clash against Wolves at Molineux for disciplinary reasons, although many have wanted to know more detail about that claim.

Now, some further explanation has emerged about the situation involving Ten Hag and the 25-year-old.

So, what did Rashford do? Let’s take a look…

What did Rashford do?

Well, sources from inside Manchester United made comparisons to a situation involving Alejandro Garnacho during the club’s pre-season tour, where the Argentine was left out after turning up late for two team meetings.

It was Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail who shared this information on his official Twitter account, adding that the situation is not a serious issue, but simply Ten Hag enforcing team rules.

When asked why Rashford had been left out, the 52-year-old told BT Sport: “Internal disciplinary. Our rules. Now focus on the game. He is in very good form and no-one can play all the games.”

Rashford had been in excellent form before being dropped for today’s game against Wolves, scoring against Burnley and Nottingham Forest in his first two appearances since returning from the World Cup.

The Manchester United academy graduate also provided an assist for Anthony Martial against Nottingham Forest as the Red Devils recorded a 3-0 win.

Rashford, who came on to score the winner against Wolves in a 1-0 victory, has since confirmed that he overslept and missed a team meeting.

Interestingly, Garnacho took Rashford’s place in the starting XI against Wolves, so despite the Argentine frustrating Ten Hag back in the summer with his tardiness, the Dutchman clearly allows for a route back into his good books.
