Italian outlet CMW claim Inter Milan could make a surprise move to raid Tottenham and sign Oliver Skipp ahead of the January window, with the English midfielder really struggling for game time under Antonio Conte at Spurs.
Skipp, 22, has managed little over 200 minutes of action in all competitions for Spurs this season. Just two starts in the Premier League, the second of which saw him hooked at half-time during the comeback win over Bournemouth.
The signings of Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur in the past two transfer windows have pushed Skipp down the rankings. Once considered a future captain of Spurs by Jose Mourinho, he is struggling to get into the side.
An unused sub in Tottenham’s last three Premier League matches, Skipp might be looking at January as a chance to get out and win some game time. But, CMW report that Inter could make a surprise move to land the Spurs ace.

Inter do need a couple of additions in the middle of the park, and Skipp is not going to develop simply sitting on the bench under Conte. Harry Winks made the decision in the summer to get out – but is struggling with injury in Italy.
The issue for Spurs is two-fold, in letting Skipp go. The first being that if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Bentancur or Bissouma pick up an injury, then they are light in the middle. Hojbjerg and Bentancur were at the World Cup in Qatar.
Their workload has been huge. The second, is that Skipp is a homegrown Tottenham player. He is crucial to the club’s registration rules. Spurs do have other cover in the untried Pape Matar Sarr. So, they will be keen to keep him.
However, it might be that Skipp requests a move. Whether that is to Inter, where he might find that he struggles for game time as much as he has done at Spurs, remains to be seen. But, clearly, he needs to be playing more often.
