According to Alex Crook, Michael Beale’s Rangers want to sign Everton goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, a player Manchester United wanted to take to Old Traffford in the summer of 2022 to compete with David de Gea.
In August 2022, The Telegraph reported that Manchester United had targeted Everton goalkeeper Begovic.
The Red Devils were looking for a back-up goalkeeper to Spanish star De Gea.
Begovic is still at Everton.
However, it is now Rangers who are being linked with the 35-year-old Bosnian goalkeeper.
TalkSPORT journalist Crook has reported on Twitter Everton want to sign Begovic in the summer of 2023.
The former Chelsea and Bournemouth goalkeeper moved to the Toffees in the summer of 2021.
Begovic is out of contract at Everton in the summer of 2023.

Rangers want to sign Asmir Begovic
Brilliant signing for the Gers
In our opinion, Asmir Begovic would be a brilliant signing for Rangers in the summer of 2023.
That the goalkeeper turned out for Chelsea and was wanted by Manchester United last summer shows his quality.
Yes, Begovic is 35 now, but he is very fit and healthy, and he would simply walk into the Rangers starting lineup.
Rangers, who are unlikely to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, could do with experienced players such as Begovic who have been a success in the Premier League.
