A journalist has claimed that it’s only a ‘matter of time’ before Arsenal-linked Joao Felix leaves his current club.

The Gunners are heavily linked with signing the Atletico Madrid attacker.

Earlier this week, reliable journalist David Ornstein revealed that Felix was definitely a genuine Arsenal target.

Felix was a surprise starter in his club’s 2-0 Liga victory under Diego Simeone last night – and he opened the scoring.

However, journalist Gemma Soler reveals that Felix – who earns £155,000 per week in the Spanish capital – and the Argentine manager simply do not like each other, claiming that a departure is inevitable.

She told ESPN: “I mean, they don’t like each other. That’s pretty clear. It’s a matter of time before he’s leaving.”

But is he going to Arsenal?

Well that remains to be seen.

Chelsea are also interested in the Portugal international and so are Manchester United, perhaps even more so now after missing out on Cody Gakpo who has joined Liverpool.

There’s definitely competition regarding Felix and one point of contention seems to centre around the stipulations, with Arsenal wanting a loan to begin with it would seem.

However, despite scoring last night it would still seem that the 23-year-old – who does want to join the North Londoners [Mundo Deportivo] might be on borrowed time, particularly if Soler is right and the pair genuinely dislike one another.
