The report has claimed that despite having a £45 million bid for Mudryk turned down by Shakhtar, Arsenal continued to have talks on Thursday.

The Premier League leaders ‘are optimistic that a deal with the Ukrainian side can eventually be reached’, according to the report.

The 21-year-old Ukraine international winger reportedly is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Times have added Shakhtar want £80 million for  Mudryk, decribed as an exceptional talent” by former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton in The Daily Record in October 2022.

Could a transfer happen?

In our opinion, Arsenal are likely to be successful in their quest to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window.

Carlo Nicolini, vice Sporting Director of Shakhtar, has already confirmed Arsenal’s interest in the winger.

This transfer saga is been played out in public, and we think that Arsenal would not have let this happen had they not been confident of getting a deal done.
