Brazilian outlet Lance claim that Tottenham star Lucas Moura is in talks with Sao Paulo over a return to his old club – and the report says he is keen to make a move happen. The winger is out of contract at the end of the 22-23 term.
Contrary to some reports and belief, Moura will see his deal expire at the end of the season. However, Spurs have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months. He remains an important part of Antonio Conte’s Spurs side.
Brazil international Moura was missing and injured for Boxing Day’s draw with Brentford. But he has featured in 11 games when fit this season – albeit, nine of those have come off the bench. He is yet to complete 90 minutes.
The report from Lance states that Sao Paulo are in talks with Moura over a return to the club. The club he left 10 years ago to join PSG, after 41 goal involvements in 86 games. It is claimed that Moura is keen on a return.

Tottenham star Moura in talks with Sao Paulo over return to Brazilian club
Tottenham will be open to allowing Moura to leave the club if they can bring in a fee for his signature. But the issue is, they will need to replace him first. Antonio Conte will be expecting Daniel Levy to invest in his side this month.
Liverpool have shown their intent by bringing in Cody Gakpo. If Spurs want to maintain their top-four spot come May, then investment is required. More options up top, midfield depth, a top-class centre-back, right wing-back.
Even, an attacking midfielder. So, plenty to do at Spurs. They have the foundation of a side that could push for a title, but Conte will want players and depth – to turn the squad into proper title contenders. Moura needs replacing.
