Leeds United want Viktor Gyokeres and have now made contact to try and sign the Coventry City striker in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from 90Min as they claim that Premier League interest in Gyokeres is really mounting.
They state that that Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all made contact for Gyokeres.
The five Premier League clubs have been asking about Gyokeres and his potential availability ahead of the January transfer window.
Coventry would ideally keep hold of their star striker but would accept a bid of around £16million for the Swedish hitman.
That’s a hefty price to pay but all of the clubs involved have a real need for a new striker during the January window.

Leeds face major battle to sign Gyokeres
Brentford have a star striker in Ivan Toney but he is facing a potential suspension over alleged gambling breaches.
Crystal Palace do have the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Jean-Philippe Mateta but the likely exit of Wilfried Zaha will leave the Eagles needing another goal threat.
Everton bought Neal Maupay over the summer but continue to struggle for goals with Gyokeres a potential solution for Frank Lampard and co.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have at least managed to bring in Matheus Cunha but may still want Gyokeres given the lack of goals from Diego Costa and Raul Jimenez.
Then there is Leeds, who may need to accept that Patrick Bafmrod is unlikely to be a striker to rely on moving forward.
Rodrigo’s goal record has been positive this season but it’s clear that another immediate goal threat is needed rather than a project for the future.
Gyokeres was on the Leeds radar back in August and the Whites seemingly still fancy luring him to Elland Road.
Branded ‘unbelievable’ by boss Mark Robins, former Brighton and Hove Albion talent Gyokeres has bagged 12 goals in 23 Championship games this season.
