Thierry Henry has said on Amazon Prime Video (10:38pm, December 26, 2022) that Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is a good squad player.
The Arsenal legend made the comments about Nketiah after the Gunners’ win against West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
The £100,000-a-week English striker (LondonWorld) was among the goalscorers for the Gunners in the London derby.
Arsenal won 3-1 against West Ham.
Nketiah is essentially a squad player at Arsenal, but the 23-year-old started the match due to injury to Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazil international striker suffered an injury at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
This means that Nketiah will now get the chance to play regularly for Arsenal.
Arsenal legend Henry has said that while the 23-year-old is not a player who can start regularly and lead Mikel Arteta’s side to the Premier League title, he is certainly an important squad player.

Thierry Henry on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah
Henry said about Nketiah: “Is he going to be the guy maybe that starts all season? I don’t think so, but what he is is a good squad player.”
Important player for the Gunners
In our view, Eddie Nketiah could explode at Arsenal now and show just how good he is.
The 23-year-old has not always had a run of games, and with Jesus now injured, it is the perfect chance for the 23-year-old English striker to come to the fore.
Nketiah’s goal for Arsenal against West Ham was very good, and it will be interesting to see if he can go on a scoring run now.
