According to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Rangers manager Michael Beale wants to sign Lyndon Dykes, a player the Gers were linked with when Steven Gerrard was in charge of the Ibrox club.
Jones has reported that Beale, who was recently appointed the Rangers manager, definitely wants to bring Dykes from his former club Queens Park Rangers to Ibrox in the January transfer window.
However, QPR do not want to lose the Scotland international striker in the middle of the season, according to the well-known and well-respected journalist.
QPR are sixth in the Championship table at the moment and are aiming to finish in the playoffs.
Dykes has scored six goals in 19 Championship starts for QPR so far this season.
The 27-year-old Scotland international striker cost QPR £2 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2020 when he moved from Livingston (The Sun).

Interestingly, both Rangers and Celtic were linked with the striker at the time.
The Daily Mail reported in June 2020 that Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers wanted to sign the striker from Livingston in the summer of 2020.
Steven Gerrard was in charge of Rangers at the time, and Neil Lennon was the manger of Celtic.
Rangers linked with QPR striker Lyndon Dykes… again
Jones said: “I’ve checked it out and Dykes is definitely someone that Rangers are keen on. The slight problem is that QPR absolutely do not want to lose him.”
