Leeds United still have Kai Wagner on their radar as they consider launching a move for the Philadelphia Union left back in January.
The Athletic report that Wagner is still on a list of possibilities at Elland Road as Leeds consider signing a new left back.
Wagner has been linked with Leeds for a while and it seems that a January deal is still very much in mind for Victor Orta and Jesse Marsch.
The Whites spent on a new left back in 2021 as they pounced to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona.
Sadly, Firpo just hasn’t impressed in the Premier League and Pascal Struijk – who is more of a centre back by trade – has been playing there instead.
Leeds may need to think about going back into the market for another left back option and that’s where Wagner could come in.

Kai Wagner could bring attacking threat to Leeds
Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised by rumours linking an MLS player with Leeds.
The American influence is growing at Leeds with Marsch, Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams all arriving this year.
Add in 49ers Enterprises behind the scenes and Leeds have a strong American feel at the moment.
There is plenty of talent in Major League Soccer and Wagner stands out as a star player.
The German left back bagged eight assists in 33 MLS games this past season before losing the MLS Cup final with Philadelphia Union at the hands of LAFC.
Wagner was nominated for the MLS Defender of the Year award, but it went to teammate Jakob Glesnes instead.
Wagner is more well known for his attacking than his defending though and he has posed a major threat for the Union with his ability up the left flank.
Leeds may believe that he can translate that threat to Premier League action and Marsch appears to be a fan.
Brotherly Game reported in August that Union boss Jim Curtin had held talks with Marsch over a deal that would see Wagner join Leeds.
The Whites will have other left backs in mind but Wagner appears to be a strong candidate for a move to Elland Road.
