Tottenham are reportedly leading the race to sign France international Adrien Rabiot, who is also wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Conte’s side are the frontrunners to sign the Juventus midfielder in January, with Rabiot expected to leave Turin next month as the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist approaches the final six months of his contract with the Italian giants.

Rabiot was one of the stars of Qatar as the 27-year-old led Les Bleus to the final against Argentina, where France lost on penalties in one of the best World Cup matches of all time. And as a result, interest has peaked massively in the midfielder.

As per Corriere dello Sport, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and former club PSG are now all interested in Rabiot in January, with CalcioMercato reporting that the likes of Newcastle and Liverpool also like the midfielder, alongside Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal.

However, it’s Conte and company who are seemingly leading the race to sign Rabiot, and with Juventus only demanding €15m (£12m) for the Frenchman, a deal could soon be in the works for Tottenham, who might be making one of the signings of the window.

Indeed, Rabiot has enjoyed his best season in a very long time for both club and country, with pundits lauding the former PSG star as ‘breathtaking’ in some performances for Juventus this campaign, which is why Tottenham could be about to land such a bargain.

Rabiot’s form has been a surprise to many this season given how critical pundits and coaches have been of the Juventus star in recent years, which is why the midfielder signing for Tottenham has the potential to take the Frenchman’s game to another level.

After all, Conte has done just this with former Juventus stars Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, and Rabiot could easily experience another rise should the midfielder decide to sign for Tottenham instead of the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona next month.
