Crystal Palace are now hopeful of winning the race to sign Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of West Ham United.
That’s according to 90Min, as they claim that Palace are trying to sign Wan-Bissaka on loan for the rest of the season.
It’s suggested that the Eagles are hopeful of beating both West Ham and Wolves to Wan-Bissaka’s signature during the January window.
Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on the Here We Go podcast on Monday, reported that West Ham, Palace and Wolves were all speaking to United about a deal.
Yet with West Ham unsure about their January budget after a huge outlay over the summer, the Hammers could end up missing out.
There is also the emotional factor with Wan-Bissaka and Palace.
Wan-Bissaka was born in Croydon and came through the Palace ranks having first joined them way back in 2009 at the age of just 11.
The 25-year-old became a first-team player at Selhurst Park, making 46 first-team appearances before a huge £50million move to Manchester United in 2019.

Wan-Bissaka rejoining Palace makes total sense
It looked like Wan-Bissaka was a perfect signing for United and his first couple of seasons were solid, impressing with his one-v-one defending.
Wan-Bissaka has never really developed going forward though and he is now becoming a forgotten man at Old Trafford.
Wan-Bissaka hasn’t started a single league game under Erik ten Hag this season and needs to leave to get his career back on track.
Others have returned to Palace for multiple spells, including Nathaniel Clyne and Wilfried Zaha – two players who also came through the Eagles ranks.
Wan-Bissaka could now do the same in an emotional return to his first club, and that me just what he need to recapture his form and prove why he earned that £50million move in the first place.
