Juventus have now set their price tag to sell Adrien Rabiot in the January transfer window. Arsenal and Liverpool are among an array of teams interested in France’s World Cup star.

That is according to Calciomercato.it, which reports Rabiot continues to have an uncertain future with Juventus. He is out of contract at the Serie A side at the end of the season. But discussions over a new deal are forever complicated due to his agent/mother’s demands.

Veronique Rabiot is pushing the Bianconeri to improve the midfielder’s salary from €7m-a-year (£118k-a/w) before bonuses to €10m-a-year (£168k-a/w). The figure has proven to be problematic during negotiations so far. But the 27-year-old has a key role at the Turin club.

Allegri does not want Juventus to sell Rabiot in the January transfer window

Manager Massimiliano Allegri wants Juventus to close the door to selling Rabiot in January. The 2022 World Cup runner-up has started all 11 of his Serie A outings so far this term. The 35-cap France technician also started all five of his Champions League group stage fixtures.

Juventus, though, would consider selling Rabiot in January to avoid him potentially leaving for free in June. Yet club chiefs at the Allianz Stadium would want €15-20m (£13-17.5m) to cash in in the mid-season market. So, a Bosman move at the end of the term is more likely.

A move to the Premier League is also on the cards as Rabiot has always been fascinated by the division. He also has an array of suitors in England with Chelsea a ‘serious candidate’ to sign the ex-Paris Saint-Germain ace. But the Blues could battle a tidal wave of rival offers.

Arsenal and Liverpool have declared their interest to Rabiot’s agent

According to 90min, Arsenal and Liverpool are among a wealth of Premier League clubs to declare their interest in Rabiot to his agent. The north London and Merseyside clubs, along with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, are in regular contact with his representatives, too.

Manchester United also remain keen on Rabiot despite his move to Old Trafford collapsing over the summer. While intermediaries have approached Barcelona to debate a transfer to La Liga. They contacted a host of Premier League clubs to sound out their interest, as well.

Further, Rabiot will consider lowering his salary demands for the right footballing project if he does quit Juventus. But Calciomercato notes Arsenal would rather wait for the summer when the France star becomes a free agent to advance their interest in signing Rabiot now.

Chelsea, likewise, prefer to swoop in the off-season to avoid paying Juventus a fee. Yet the London rivals risk missing out as Newcastle United are ready to move in January. The Toon are very keen to sign a ‘complete midfielder’, in the eyes of France boss Didier Deschamps.
