Kevin Campbell has said on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal should not sign Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.
The former Arsenal striker has said that given Neto’s injury problems, the Gunners should avoid bringing in the Portugal international winger in the middle of the season.
The Sky Sports pundit has said that Arsenal would be better off signing Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk instead.
According to TEAMtalk, Mudryk is trying to force a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners are not willing to pay £100 million in transfer fees that Shakhtar want.
The Daily Express have reported that Arsenal have firm interest in Neto.
Arsenal told not to sign Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers
Campbell said; “I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think Mudryk is definitely ahead of him.
“Neto can be exciting on his day, very direct, good player, but has suffered with some terrible injuries.

“We cannot afford to be signing players that are injury prone because we need them to perform in the team.”
January transfer unlikely
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to sign Pedro Neto from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.
Wolves are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, and it is unlikely that they will be keen on selling any of their best players.
Neto has had injury problems, but the winger is still only 22 and has a bright future ahead.
We do not think that it would be a bad idea for Arsenal to sign the Portugal international, but the Gunners would be better off thinking about the winger in the summer of 2023 or in the summer of 2024.
