Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Manuel Locatelli, but Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have devised a plan to beat their bitter North London rivals to the signature of the Italy international midfielder, according to CMW.
Arsenal’s plan to beat Tottenham to Manuel Locatelli signing
CMW reported in October 2022 that Tottenham are trying to convince head coach Antonio Conte to stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by signing Locatelli.
The 24-year-old midfielder is on loan at Juventus from Sassuolo at the moment, but the Bianconeri have an obligation make the deal permanent.
Arsenal’s interest in the Euro 2020 winner has already been covered previously, and now it has been reported that Mikel Arteta’s side have hatched a plan to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

CMW have reported that Arsenal want to sign Locatelli and could offer Juventus either Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka or Ghana international defensive midfielder Thomas Partey in an exchange deal.
Although that swap deal could appeal to Juventus, the former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners are hardly going to accept it in the January transfer window.
Stats
Manuel Locatelli has made 12 appearances in Serie A for Juventus so far this season.
The 24-year-old Italy international midfielder has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Bianconeri this campaign.
The midfielder made 23 starts and eight substitute appearances in Serie A last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in the process.
