Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Graham Potter’s Chelsea could bid €50 million (£44 million) for AC Milan defensive midfielder Ismael Bennacer, according to CMW.
Arsenal and Chelsea linked with bids for Ismael Bennacer
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea both are keen on Bennacer, and that the two Premier League clubs could make offers of €50 million (£44 million) for the Algeria international star.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, while there is suggestion in the Italian media that the defensive midfielder may already have an offer from Liverpool.
Bennacer, who was on the books of Arsenal from 2015 until 2017, is under contract at Milan until the summer of 2024.

Could a January transfer happen?
We do not think that Arsenal are going to pay €50 million (£44 million) for AC Milan defensive midfielder Ismael Bennacer in the January transfer window.
Chelsea might make an offer because the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners could do with a dynamic 25-year-old midfielder given that they will need someone like that next summer.
However, Arsenal need to sign a striker in the January transfer window due to injury to Gabriel Jesus, and we do not think that they are going to spend €50 million (£44 million) on a midfielder they are not desperate for.
