Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Frank Lampard’s Everton have joined Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United in the race to sign George Hall from Birmingham City in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Leeds have followed Hall for a long time and tried to sign the midfielder from Birmingham in the summer of 2022.

The West Yorkshire club remain keen on the 18-year-old and are planning to bid for the midfielder in January, but they are now aware of increasing competition, according to the report.

The Daily Mail have reported that Liverpool and Everton have now joined the race for Hall, described by Birmingham coach Martyn Olorenshaw as “a really exciting player” who “is explosive, dynamic and has the prowess to influence games” on the club’s official website in November 2021.

Leeds United or Liverpool for George Hall?

In our opinion, Liverpool could win the race for George Hall ahead of Leeds United.

The chance to play for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners and to work under the world-class Jurgen Klopp could be too tempting for the teenager.

Moreover, Liverpool could also be able to pay more in transfer fees for Hall.

The Reds could also be willing to let the teenager stay on loan at Birmingham until the end of the season, as it is unlikely that he would be drafted straight into the first team if he were to move to Anfield next month.
