Chelsea are reportedly still interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion superstar Moises Caicedo, with Liverpool also in the race for the Ecuador international.
According to Sky Sports News, the Blues remain in the hunt for the 21-year-old midfielder, with the youngster establishing himself as one of the best young players in the Premier League this season with the Seagulls.
And as a result, interest has continued to increase for Caicedo, with the Blues and Liverpool still both interested in the South American talent despite Brighton’s very firm stance that the Ecuador superstar is not for sale in the January transfer window.
With a reported price tag of £70m according to the Sun, Caicedo is expected to become Brighton’s next major sale following the likes of Ben White in 2021 and Marc Cucurella this summer, and the Seagulls could face a big challenge from keeping Chelsea and Liverpool away from signing the midfielder.

Hailed as ‘magnificent’ by Jamie Redknapp, Caicedo has been one of Brighton’s best finds since their return to the Premier League given how cheap the south coast Premier League side signed the 21-year-old for, and Chelsea and Liverpool’s interest could make the Seagulls extremely wealthy in 2023.
Indeed, the Premier League giants are both in the market for a young central midfielder, and Caicedo’s experience in the Engish top flight will make the Ecuador star an appealing option next year, especially given how cheap the youngster is compared to other targets.
Liverpool have to rival Chelsea for Caicedo signing

Caicedo has continued to improve with each passing game for both club and country, and with Chelsea still interested in signing the midfielder, Liverpool have to rival the west London side in the race for the South American in 2023.
After all, Caicedo is a Premier League-proven midfielder who has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the division. And for Liverpool, beating Chelsea to the Ecuador star’s signature would be quite the coup for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
