Gianluca Di Marzio has told SoccerNews that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are a dream destination for Borussia Dortmund and England international midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has tipped Liverpool to sign Bellingham from Dortmund in the summer of 2023.

The Italian journalist has stated that Dortmund want €100 to €130 million (£87.28 – £113.46 million) in transfer fees for the 19-year-old England international midfielder, who starred at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

According to 90min, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid all want to sign Bellingham from Dortmund.

Gianluca Di Marzio on Liverpool target Jude Bellingham

Di Marzio said about Bellingham: “Liverpool would be a good choice for him because Jürgen Klopp is a great coach for any player moving from Borussia Dortmund to Anfield.

“Klopp knows the Bundesliga like the back of his hand and would be the perfect manager to squeeze everything out of Bellingham.

“In addition, Liverpool need a player like Bellingham, but the price-tag makes it difficult to get a deal done. This is going to be a summer deal anyway.

“Recently he changed his old agent for a new one, but that has nothing to do with negotiations. His parents are now responsible for the talks, but I don’t think anything will happen in January.

“If you ask me, Liverpool is a dream destination for Bellingham and Manchester United seem to have dropped out. The price-tag is 100 to 130 million euros.”

Exciting

In our opinion, Jude Bellingham would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool and would make Jurgen Klopp’s side so much better.

The teenager is a box-to-box midfielder who can do pretty much everything.

Bellingham may be only 19, but he is a regular for Borussia Dortmund and for England.

The English youngster is hugely experienced, and he would be able to hit the ground running at Liverpool.

Now, of course, paying over £100 million for a single player is a massive decision, but if Liverpool want to get Bellingham ahead of the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, then they simply have to cough up that much cash.
