Kris Boyd has stated that the issue Arsenal have in wanting to sign Ukraine star, Mykhailo Mudryk, is that he is now going to cost an ‘absolute fortune’.
Mikel Arteta’s side want to add the Shakhtar Donetsk star to their ranks and he is keen on a move, with former Scotland striker Boyd pointing out that he has been ‘excellent’ this season, especially in the Champions League, where he scored both home and away against Celtic.
But he could now be swapping the colours of Shakhtar for the big stage of Premier League football.

One thing is for sure, he has made himself known, more so on Europe’s biggest stage and this could possibly be a deal that is easier to do simply because the player himself wants the move.
Whilst Mudryk won’t go in as a first-team player, he would provide depth, especially on that left-hand side with Gabriel Martinelli, as Boyd praised the player on Sky Sports News.
“I have seen Mudryk, the Shakhtar Donetsk boy, his name was on the radar,” said Boyd. “He will cost an absolute fortune now in the Champions League with Shakhtar Donetsk.
“I think he has been excellent, with Ukraine as well. But he’s not a striker and he is someone who plays on the left.”

ARSENAL SHOULD PUSH FOR MUDRYK
At 21, Mikel Arteta can help nurture Mudryk like he has done with Martinelli, who has gone from an unknown teenager brought in from the streets of Brazil to an international in next to no time.
Mudryk is of a higher standing than where Martinelli was when he first arrived. Plus he has had a taste of European football.
With Gabriel Jesus injured, those in north London can’t see Mudryk as the replacement because he is someone who likes to come off the left, with the ability to play through the middle, plus it would be unfair to put that pressure on such young shoulders.
