Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Graham Potter’s Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, according to 90min.
The report has claimed that Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain all are interested in signing the Portugal international star.
Former La Liga champions Atletico paid £113 million for Felix in 2019 and want at least £100 million in transfer fees for the 23-year-old, who can operate as a forward, winger or attacking midfielder and was described as “very dangerous” by then Villarreal head coach Unai Emery (now at Aston Villa) in TribalFootball in August 2022
And, according to 90min, that fee is ‘problematic’.
AS. reported this week that Arsenal are interested in the youngster as well.

Could Arsenal or Chelsea sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid?
In our opinion, Chelsea are more likely than Arsenal to spend £100 million on a single player such as Joao Felix in the middle of the season.
If Atletico Madrid insist on a £100 million transfer fee for the Portuguese star, then we do not see Arsenal willing to cough up that much cash.
Chelsea are used to spending big on players and have done so even under new ownership, and the Blues are more likely than the Gunners to entertain the idea of bringing in a 23-year-old for £100 million.
