Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a bid for Fiorentina and Morocco international midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who is also wanted by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, according to CM.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Conte told Tottenham to sign Amrabat in the summer of 2022.

The Morocco international midfielder’s performance at the 2022 Qatar World Cup has impressed the Tottenham bosses, and the North London club are now ready to make a bid for the 26-year-old in the January transfer window.

CM have mentioned Liverpool as another club from the Premier League who are keen on securing the services of the former Club Brugge midfielder.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners’ scouts reportedly have been blown by Amrabat’s performance for Morocco at the World Cup, and Klopp now personally wants him at Anfield after getting fantastic reports.

Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur for Sofyan Amrabat?

In our view, Liverpool have a better chance than Tottenham Hotspur of signing Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are a bigger club who are also in a better position of winning trophies than Spurs, and the 26-year-old could find a move to Anfield more appealing than a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Stats

Sofyan Amrabat has made 10 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A for Fiorentina so far this season.

The defensive midfielder has played in five matches for Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The 26-year-old made eight starts and 15 substitute appearances in Serie A last season, and made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the league in 2020-21.
