Tottenham Hotspur Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, will resume talks with head coach Antonio Conte over a new contract today, according to The Athletic.
The report published this morning has claimed that talks between Conte and Tottenham over a new contract started before the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Negotiations were expected to resume last week, but Paratici was busy.
The Italian official will start talks with his compatriot from today.
The Athletic have added: “This week’s talks will not only be about the terms of any potential new contract, the salary, the length of the deal and the potential break clauses.
“Also on the table will be Tottenham’s ambitions and plans for the forthcoming January transfer window, with Conte especially keen to know that the club shares the same ambition to win that he does.”
Conte was appointed as the Tottenham head coach in November 2021.

The former Chelsea and Inter Milan tactician signed an 18-month contract.
The Italian is out of contract at Tottenham in the summer of 2023, but the North London club do have the option to extend it by another year.
Fabio Paratici’s big quest to convince Antonio Conte at Tottenham
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, will have to work extremely hard to convince Antonio Conte to commit his long-term future to the Premier League club.
We saw how Conte left Inter Milan just after he guided them to the Serie A title.
The Italian boss wants to be given all the tools necessary to win major trophies.
If Tottenham are to keep Conte for next season and beyond, then they have to convince him about their plans to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title on a regular basis.
