Napoli are reportedly ready to sell rumoured Liverpool and Everton target Hirving Lozano in the January transfer window following a breakdown in contract talks.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via the Mirror, the Serie A leaders are open to offloading the Mexican international in the coming weeks, with Napoli eager to recoup as much of the £36m the Italian side spent to sign the attacker from PSV Eindhoven in 2019.
With Area Napoli reporting that Frank Lampard is a fan of the 27-year-old and El Futbolero claiming that Liverpool are also chasing Lozano, Napoli’s decision to sell the attacker in January will likely be of interest for the Merseyside clubs, who could both sign wide-forwards.
Everton are expected to sign some firepower for their forward-lone as Lampard looks to save the Toffees from another relegation battle. Whereas Liverpool have been rocked this week by the news that Luis Diaz will be out for as long as three months due to having surgery to resolve a knee injury as per the Daily Mail.

As a result, both Premier League clubs moving for Lozano feels like a strong possibility ahead of the January window, with the attacker having the quality and reputation to become a star for Liverpool or Everton in 2023.
Indeed, Lozano is regarded by many as one of Mexico’s best players, and Napoli now actively looking to sell the winger in the upcoming winter market will be music to the likes of Liverpool and Everton, who could be forced into doing business.
Napoli selling Lozano could be one of the deals of the January window

Lozano’s quality is evident for many to see, and even though the forward hasn’t been hitting the heights many expected from the former PSV star at Napoli, Everton or Liverpool could benefit massively from signing the Mexican international.
After all, the trickster has shown over the years that he can be a dangerous asset when playing in the right system with the right players, and Lozano’s style of play could be well suited to the Premier League, which will make the attacker a potential bargain in January.
