Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, according to Bild.

The German publication has claimed that AC Milan are also keen on signing Torres from Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly looking at former Manchester City forward Torres to replace Gabriel Jesus.

Brazil international striker Jesus suffered an injury at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, and manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign a replacement when the transfer window opens in January.

Jesus moved to Arsenal from City in the summer of 2022.

Could Tottenham or Arsenal sign Ferran Torres in January?

We do not think that Barcelona will sell Ferran Torres to Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur or AC Milan in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are aiming to win the La Liga title this season, and head coach Xavi will want to have as much firepower as he can.

After all, the Blaugrana are two points clear of Real Madrid at the top, and they could genuinely win the title this season/

Moreover, Torres joined from Manchester City in January 2022 for €55 million (£47 million), as reported by Sky Sports.

And he is only 22.

Barcelona will surely not sell the Spain international after just a year.

Torres has made six starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Xavi’s side so far this season.

The youngster has scored two goals in those games.
