Former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo was in tears immediately after Portugal were knocked out of the 2022 Qatar World Cup by Morocco on Saturday evening, as you can see below.

Ronaldo, who is without a club at the moment after his contract at Manchester United was mutually terminated last month, was in action for Portugal against Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Saturday.

African nation Morocco got the better of European country Portugal 1-0.

Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute.

Morocco ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Walid Cheddira in injury time.

Ronaldo did not start the match for Portugal, but the 37-year-old forward came on as a substitute in the opening minutes of the second half.

The former Juventus star had a good opportunity to score and also created a brilliant chance.

Ronaldo, who equalled the men’s all-time appearance record of 196 in international matches, was in tears after the match, as the former Manchester United star made his way back to the Portugal dressing room.

As you can below, it is really heart-breaking, especially when you consider that this is the last time we will see Ronaldo at a World Cup.
