Pundit Jamie Carragher has hailed Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka after his performance in England’s 2-1 World Cup defeat France on Saturday night.
Carragher has taken to Twitter to share what many in Qatar, in pubs across the country and at home were thinking about Saka.
Carragher simply tweeted ‘Saka sensational’, using just one word to describe the Arsenal winger as he caused all sorts of problems for Theo Hernandez.
Saka was given rough treatment from France players but referee Wilton Sampaio somehow kept ignoring calls for free kicks.
Suddenly, Arsenal fans suggesting that Saka gets harsh treatment from Premier League referees doesn’t sound that crazy.
Saka did eventually win a penalty in the second half and even had a chance to score at the back post as he met a Luke Shaw cross.
England seemed to lose something after Saka was substituted though and Theo Hernandez will be relieved to see the back of Saka.

Bukayo Saka ends up on the losing side
Sadly for Saka and co, it wasn’t to be in Qatar.
Aurelien Tchouameni’s opener had France in front before Harry Kane levelled it from the spot.
Olivier Giroud’s header had France back in front only for England to win another penalty, this time with Mason Mount brought down.
Kane stepped up but fired his shot over the bar and that was that – England crash out in the quarter-finals.
France advance to take on surprise package Morocco in the semi-finals with Didier Deschamps closing in on back-to-back World Cups.
England were more than a match for France but just couldn’t seize the initiative at 1-1.
The Three Lions will be back – they have so many good young players who will be desperate to hit back after this disappointment.
Saka will be one of them and having turned in yet another great display, fans will feel like he will be a key player for years to come.
