During the second half of the campaign, Leeds United have to shoot up the table.
Jesse Marsch’s side have pulled off massive victories over Chelsea and away to Liverpool this season, but they’re 15th in the Premier League table and only two points above the relegation zone.
If Leeds are to be more consistent, they need more goals and that, in essence, equates to another striker coming in next month.
Talented as Patrick Bamford may be, he has started only 11 Premier League outings in 17 months due to injury and he cannot be relied upon.
With that in mind, Victor Orta should look at re-signing a number nine he once sold at Elland Road – Chris Wood.

Wood left Leeds during the summer of 2017 – Orta’s first transfer window in West Yorkshire – and bringing him back to the club really wouldn’t be a bad shout.
Besides, he’s probably available, too.
Callum Wilson has been on fire this season and Alexander Isak, Newcastle United’s £60 million hitman, will be fit again for Eddie Howe during the second half of the season.
In other words, the New Zealand international, a £25 million signing by the Magpies 11 months ago [Guardian], simply isn’t going to play a lot of games.
Despite leaving, Wood, who scored 27 Championship goals in his last season with the Whites, is most likely still a popular figure among many-a-Leeds supporter and he knows the city, the club and the environment very well.
In the right system, the 31-year-old will get goals and it’s one that Orta should certainly consider.
