Leeds United want Raphael Guerreiro and the Borussia Dortmund ace has been praised for his role in Portugal’s thrashing of Switzerland.
The Whites are surely pushing to sign a new left back during the January transfer window.
Junior Firpo just hasn’t lived up to his billing and continues to struggle in the Premier League whilst Pascal Struijk is more of a centre back.
Left backs like Kai Wagner and Ola Aina have been touted in recent times but one rumour that intrigued many was the link to Raphael Guerreiro.

Leeds United target Raphael Guerreiro praised
TEAMtalk reported in November that Leeds are plotting to offer a pre-contract agreement to Borussia Dortmund ace Raphael Guerreiro.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and – as things stand – will be allowed to leave Dortmund on a free transfer.
Leeds are right in the mix for Guerreiro and may put a contract on the table for him in the New Year.
Victor Orta is surely keeping tabs on Guerreiro during the World Cup and he must have been impressed on Tuesday.
Guerreiro is starting as Portugal’s first-choice left back with Paris Saint-Germain star Nuno Mendes.
The Dortmund ace was outstanding against Switzerland on Tuesday night and even got himself on the scoresheet with a lovely finish in the second half.
That kind of attacking impact is what Leeds would love to add to Jesse Marsch’s side and the Portuguese press have been dazzled by him.
Record graded Guerreiro at four out of five in their player ratings whilst praising his understanding with players down his side going forward.
“Perfect understanding with who was appearing on the left flank, offensive involvement for the goal and dangerous crosses,” they wrote.
Guerreiro hasn’t always been the best defensively but his attacking output can’t really be doubted.
Portugal will now be looking for Guerreiro to help them reach the semi-finals and if he continues to shine, Leeds may face some more competition for his signature in January.
