Ruud Gullit has spoken highly about Liverpool and Chelsea transfer target, Jude Bellingham, as he continues to shine at the Qatar World Cup.

The Dutch legend says the 19-year-old has ‘composure, touch and finesse’ to his game, as he is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for Gareth Southgate.

England are preparing for a mouthwatering quarter-final showdown against champions France on Saturday, and if they are to progress, then their all-action midfielder needs to cook on football’s biggest stage.

In fact, many think, if Bellingham does produce the goods and that on a stage that will have Kylian Mbappe, then England will book another semi-final ticket at the World Cup.

During his peak days as a player, Gullit was THE all-round midfielder, a player that defined ‘total football’ and he knows one quality player when he sees one, as he told beIN SPORT.

“Look at Bellingham’s power,” said Gullit. “He has finesse. Touch. Composure. Yes, he has (a footballing brain beyond his years). He is the captain of Dortmund at 19!”

WHO WILL WIN BELLINGHAM RACE?

Borussia Dortmund have always proven that they are willing to part ways with their star players and rising stars – most recently Jadon Sancho who joined Manchester United and Erling Haaland who moved to Manchester City.

Both secured transfers of under £100 million to the Premier League, but something says, for Bellingham, it’s going to be very different.

Added to World Cup and English tax, Dortmund would be daft not to demand £100 million plus for the player given the clamour for him, and it’s still rising.

Liverpool and Chelsea are long-admirers of the Englishman, who is yet to play in the Premier League, but so are Real Madrid and PSG.

Whether it’s during the winter transfer window or in the summer, there is going to be an all-out transfer bidding war for probably the hottest young prospect in world football today.
