Jordan Henderson has stated that Liverpool and Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham has a ‘unique’ mentality and he is someone who is a ‘one-off’ after England beat Senegal 3-0 at the Qatar World Cup.

The Liverpool midfielder added that Bellingham should be allowed to ‘enjoy’ playing the way he wants because the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund star is at the top of his game, as he told beIN SPORTS (04/12/22 at 9:20 pm).

Liverpool fans would have been jumping up from their seats when they saw Bellingham drive through Senegal’s midfield and assist Henderson for England’s opening goal against the champions of Africa.

Whilst those at Anfield are keen on seeing that partnership play out on Merseyside, the big pockets of Chelsea’s new owner Todd Bohely wants to spoil that transfer party because it’s suggested that they are ‘obsessed’ with beating the Reds and Manchester City to his signature.

One thing is for sure, whoever secures Bellingham’s talents for the long-term have someone who could probably argue that they are the best teenage talent in the world today, as Henderson spoke highly of his England teammate.

“I don’t really know what else to say about him, to be honest,” said Henderson. “He has an incredible mentality. An incredible player.

“I think he has shown, not in this tournament, but a good few months now just how good he is as a player. Of course, he can improve and get better.

“But we are talking about a player whose mentality is unique. He’s a one-off, so we need to make sure that we let him play football. He is only 19 and let him enjoy it as much as possible.”

BELLINGHAM HAS A BIG CALL TO MAKE

Before a ball was kicked for the Qatar World Cup, the hype around Bellingham was already through the roof.

Well, what he is now producing on football’s biggest stage is only increasing that hype and beaming that spotlight even brighter on the all-action midfielder.

The tops dogs in Europe are going to be bashing down Borussia Dortmund’s door for the player, not in the summer, but in January.

That’s where he has a big call to make. Does he stay in Dortmund and continue his rapid progression because he is still a teenager? Does he finally make his Premier League bow? Or does he head to La Liga and join the biggest fish in the Spanish pond?
