Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez featured for Argentina against Australia on Saturday evening.
The South American giants won the match 2-1.
Lisandro Martinez was superb at the back for the Argentines after coming on as a substitute just after the break.
The 24-year-old Manchester United centre-back was a rock at the back and made a world-class tackle on Australia’s Aziz Behich.
It was arguably the best tackle inside a penalty so far at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The 24-year-old is not guaranteed a place in the Argentina starting lineup, but whenever he has been on the pitch for the former world champions in Qatar, he has been superb and has done his job.
Just as he did against Australia and helped his national team to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
