England take on the USA in their second game of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar inside the Al Bayt Stadium, with kick-off commencing at 7pm on these shores.

The Three Lions would put themselves in a fantastic position to qualify from Group B with another win, although it will be a difficult test for Gareth Southgate up against Gregg Berhalter.

Qatar are three hours ahead of England, so the usually intense heat should not be too much of an issue for the players – nevertheless, let’s take a look at just how hot it will be around 10pm local time in Doha…

What is the temperature in Qatar today for England vs USA?

Well, it will still be fairly warm in Qatar when England kick off against the USA.

Temperatures around the Al Bayt Stadium are expected to reach 25 degrees even at 10pm local time in Qatar, with highs of 30 degrees earlier in the day.

Even if England were kicking off at 1pm, which is when temperatures are expected to hit 30 degrees, it shouldn’t have too much of an impact on the players.

A number of commentators throughout the tournament have joked about needing to wear a jumper inside the World Cup stadiums, such is the strength of the air conditioning built into each ground.

Humidity levels are expected to reach 69% around the time of England’s second game in Group B, however, so it will still be a fairly difficult test for the Three Lions from a physical aspect.

England set for first real test against USA

With all due respect to Iran, they really didn’t put up much of a fight in the opening game of Group B, as England strolled to a 6-2 win inside the Khalifa International Stadium.

Southgate and the Three Lions have still, rightly, won plenty of plaudits for their performances, although today’s clash will give supporters a much better idea of just how good this side is.

The USA have some tricky players, such as Timothy Weah, Brenden Aaronson of Leeds, and Yunus Musah, who Southgate has already complained about losing to Berhalter after he switched his international allegiance.

It will be difficult, but if England can grab another three points, their passage to the knockout stages would be all but secured.
