Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all keen on signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot with the Frenchman starring at the Serie A side, and for France – a player Gianluigi Buffon said has the strength of another Juve star, Paul Pogba.

Rabiot, 27, is in the final year of his contract at Juventus and CM report that Juventus are unable to meet his wage demands. Indeed, he wants £166k a week – but Juve are unable to offer him an increase on his current £116k wage.

The report says Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs are willing to meet his demands. The interest in Rabiot is expected to be large given his form – in which he has scored five goals from midfield for Juve this term. He is crucial to the Old Lady.

His start to the World Cup has also been immense. Starting against Australia, he equalised after France opened the scoring, before laying on an assist for Olivier Giroud’s first goal in a 4-1 win. Buffon is a big fan of his former teammate.

“He is a fantastic mix, he has the physical strength of Pogba, who is like a wardrobe. He has the personality of Vidal. Potentially the dynamism of Marchisio,” Buffon told Corriere dello Sport, as per website Sport Star.

What a signing Rabiot would be on a free transfer, or at least, for a cut-price fee in January. His form on the world stage will certainly have clubs clamouring for his signature. Juve are likely to be open to a bargain move in January.

Liverpool need midfield additions, Chelsea could do with a replacement for Jorginho and N’Golo Kante. Both are out of contract at the end of the season. For Arsenal, competition for Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka is needed.
