Italian outlet Roma Giallorossa claim that Tottenham and Newcastle are interested in Frankfurt star Evan Ndicka, and are ahead of Jose Mourinho’s Roma in the race for the Frenchman. His deal is due to expire at the end of the season.
Ndicka, 23, has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League. But the defender joined Frankfurt in 2018 and has remained at the Bundesliga side since, clocking up 162 appearances. Last term, he helped win the Europa League.
With his contract up at the end of the season, BILD report that a fee of £13million is required in January. Now, Roma Giallorossa report that Tottenham, Newcastle and Roma are all among those interested in signing the left-footer ace.
But it is the two English clubs that are leading the race ahead of Mourinho’s side. Tottenham’s Champions League opponents in the last 16, AC Milan, are also keen on Ndicka. He shares the same agent as Spurs man Yves Bissouma.

For just £13million, Ndicka is a potential bargain. A player that at only 23, is already widely experienced. He is expected to go on and become a France international. With a Europa League under his belt, he is likely to have plenty after him.
Tottenham need a left-footed central defender. Clement Lenglet has joined on loan. But the Barcelona man has been used in the middle of defence at times, meaning Ben Davies is without competition. Ndicka can do both roles.
What he gives Spurs – or Newcastle – is a player ready to start for either club. He would not need time to adapt but at 23, he has plenty left in his career. He will certainly be on the move and sharing an agent with Bissouma may help.
