As per a report by the Telegraph’s Chris Bascombe, Liverpool will be unable to afford the signing of the in-demand Jude Bellingham.

Only recently, transfer inside Fabrizio Romano had revealed on his YouTube channel that the club have an “obsession” with signing the 19-year-old.

The Italian journalist also claimed that the England international is the side’s main target in the summer window.

Furthermore, Romano has even told GiveMeSport that the Reds are already in talks with people close to the sought-after wonderkid.

However, it is key to note that fellow Premier League giants such as Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in Bellingham, as per the Sun.

Additionally, Real Madrid have been linked to the youngster on multiple occasions.

Liverpool have already lost in the Bellingham race

As reported by Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph, the ‘reality’ is that Jude Bellingham is already beyond Liverpool’s means.

Valued in excess of £100 million (£130 million, as per SPORT), the Reds will need a new investor to walk through the door to fund his arrival.

Or, if another star player such as Sadio Mane is sold in 2023.

The report has mentioned that it was the Senegalese winger’s sale to Bayern that allowed Jurgen Klopp’s men to hand Mohamed Salah a bumper new contract.

In addition, the club legend’s exit also helped the side finance Darwin Nunez’s arrival this season.

It has been mentioned that WhatsApp messages asking those within Liverpool to add another £25 million to Bellingham’s price tag have been shared, as he shines at the World Cup.

Aside from the Merseyside-based side’s financial issues, their failings on the pitch make a transfer hard to imagine.

With Jude Bellingham already looking like one of the best midfielders in the world, it is likely that he joins a club that can help him win the biggest trophies on a long-term basis.
