The latest generation of the Pokemon series is here, bringing with it dozens of brand new Pokemon, like Charcadet, each requiring different ways to evolve.

Charcadet is known as the “Fire Child Pokemon” and is likely to be one of the most popular Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. This is due to the fact that the Pokemon has two different evolutions, one specific to each version of the game – with Armarogue exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet and Ceruledge exclusive to Pokemon Violet.

Unlike many Pokemon, Charcadet won’t evolve by simply levelling up.

So, to help you out, here’s how to find and evolve Charcadet into Armarogue or Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Evolve Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

As previously mentioned, Charcadet has a special evolution method in the new Pokemon games.

There are a couple of locations you’ll need to be aware of for this – Zapapico and the wild areas!

Your first step though is to speak to the man wearing a pink shirt in Scarlet or a lady wearing a denim jacket with white hair in Violet. They can be found in front of a fountain in Zapapico. After speaking to them, they will then ask you for either 10 Bronzor Fragments or 10 Sinistea Chips depending on which version of the game you have.

Following this, you’ll need to head out into the wild and kill (or capture) Bronzor or Sinistea until they drop enough of the items that you require. Bronzor can be found at in a variety of areas in Paldea and Sinistea can be found in a couple of locations on the map, namely the far southwest corner.

You can find the locations of Bronzor on the map below:

Once you have enough Bronzor Fragments or Sinistea Chips head back to Zapapico and the man you initially spoke to. He will then offer you a trade for your items. You can get a set of Auspicious Armor to evolve Charcadet into Armarogue or a set of Malicious Armor to evolve it into Ceruledge.

Following this, it’s simply a case of using the item on your Charcadet into either Armarogue or Ceruledge. Congrats.
