Is Welcome To Chippendales renewed for season 2?

No, Welcome To Chippendales has already been billed and confirmed as a TV mini-series.

Taking this into consideration, the season finale will wrap up Banerjee’s story. He passed away on October 23rd 1994 and the previously mentioned book covers his life and career.

Although some mini-series have been unexpectedly renewed (Big Little Lies etc.) it’s highly unlikely to be the case here.

‘He spoke for an hour without interruption’

Kumail recently sat down to discuss the project for an interview with ScreenRant and revealed how he came aboard.

Rob phoned him to explain that he was interested in pursuing a mini-series about the creation of Chippendales and Kumail asked if there was anything interesting that happened:

“… he spoke for an hour without interruption. And I said, Okay, yes. It’s just so wild – so much unbelievable stuff happens in it. A lot of big dark stuff. But even the stuff that’s not dark, there’s just so many twists and turns and just bonkers things happen in it. And the era is so specific, and Rob is so smart.”

He continued: “He’s such a fantastic writer. I’ve been a fan of his for so long that it was one of those things that wasn’t a decision, [it] just was like, Alright, we have to do this. We have no choice.”

Welcome To Chippendales continues each Tuesday on Hulu.
