It’s been a pretty big year for blockbuster cinema so far in 2022, with the likes of Jurassic World: Dominion, Top Gun: Maverick, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Uncharted, The Gray Man, and more already having been released. The likes of Avatar: The Way Of Water loom, but there’s still buzz surrounding Black Adam.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the American superhero effort offers spectacle in abundance, with Dwayne Johnson stepping into the role of the titular antihero who finds himself seeking revenge against those who saw him banished many years ago.
Taking place within the DCEU but essentially operating as a solo vehicle to introduce the icon into the universe, it’s clear the franchise has a major new character to play with moving forward.
Now, those who missed it in theaters – or those who simply want to go back for multiple viewings – can experience the adventure in their own homes now that Black Adam is streaming.
Black Adam streaming price and platforms
Black Adam is now available to rent or buy on such platforms as Amazon Video, Vudu, Microsoft Store, Google Play Movies, Vudu, etc.
However, considering it has only just been made available on streaming, the price is rather high.
For example, the rental price (both SD and HD) on Amazon Video is $19.99 whereas you can buy it and watch it as many times as you wish for $24.99.
The price will eventually drop once it’s been available for some time, although no date is known just yet.
It’s not scheduled to hit home media (DVD, Blu-ray, 4K) until Tuesday, January 3rd 2023. Black Adam is streaming in the US but a UK date is yet to be announced.

‘He’s the one who came to me first’
Dwayne previously spoke to ScreenRant about crafting the project with Jaume, acknowledging a major inspiration for the project:
“He’s the one who came to me first, and he said, ‘Man, let’s create the Dirty Harry of superheroes because that’s who Black Adam is. He doesn’t give a f**k, but he gives a f**k about people whom he loves and whom he wants to protect.”
He added: “I loved our director, Jaume Collet-Serra. And also too, for me, what I had to do was, it was such a departure from anything I played in the past, so he helped me, too, with the character.”
Black Adam is now available to purchase on demand.
