*WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Andor episode 12*

Since it arrived on our screens, Andor has quickly cemented itself as one of the best entries in the Star Wars franchise.

Each episode has been slowly adding to Cassian Andor’s snowballing hatred for the Empire and drive to join the growing Rebellion fighting against Imperial oppression.

All of this built to an explosive crescendo on Ferrix in episode 12 as the population fought back against their oppressors.

However, an agonizing cliffhanger in the final moments of the episode has left Andor fans wondering whether an episode 13 is due to arrive on November 30.

Andor episode 12 recap

Titled Rix Road, episode 12 of Andor was a thoroughly emotional affair as the people of Ferrix came together for the funeral of Maarva Andor.

Knowing that the funeral would be their best bet at finding Cassian Andor, Dedra Meero and the ISB allowed the event to take place, but had their own list of caveats, such as changing the time and limiting the number of attendees.

However, the people of Ferrix conducted the funeral as they wanted, with a huge crowd gathering on Rix Road to pay their respects and listening to a holographic speech that Maarva recorded before her death.

Maarva’s inspirational speech sparked fury among the onlooking Imperials and a scuffle broke out that quickly erupted into a full-blown riot when Wilmon Paak, son of the murdered Salman, threw a homemade bomb at the Empire’s HQ.

In the confusion, Cassian was able to sneak into the Imperial base undetected and managed to rescue Bix, still feeling the effects of her torture at the hands of Dr Gorst.

After helping Bix, Brasso, B2EMO and several others escape the planet, Cassian then went to confront Luthen Rael who had travelled to Ferrix in the hopes of killing Andor so that he wouldn’t reveal any details about the Aldhani heist should he be captured by the Empire.

However, the episode ended on an agonizing cliffhanger (“No, you can’t end it there” I shouted at the TV) as Andor stared down Luthen, giving him the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger and kill him.

Before the episode ended for good though, episode 12 offered up one last surprise as there was a post-credits scene which revealed exactly what the prisoners on Narkina 5 had been building.

Will there be an episode 13 in Andor season 1?

Unfortunately, no. Andor will not feature an episode 13 in its first season.

That’s right episode 12 was the season finale, meaning that there will be no new episode arriving on November 30.

  2. The Would Be Me | September 21
  3. Reckoning | September 21
  4. Aldhani | September 28
  5. The Axe Forgets | October 5

Season 2 is confirmed

While Andor’s first season may have come to an end, fans can take solace from the fact that the series has been confirmed for a second season.

In May 2022, Lucasfilm announced that Andor had been renewed for a second and final season that, like season 1, would also consist of 12 episodes.

While the events of season 1 took place solely across one year, 5 BBY, season 2 will tell its story over the next four years, leading right into the events of Rogue One, the film where we first met Cassian Andor.

However, fans will likely have to wait until 2024 for season 2 according to showrunner Tony Gilroy, as filming on the second season only began in November 2022 and is expected to last until August 2023.
