Manchester United are now interested in signing Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe after the groundbreaking Cristiano Ronaldo interview.
The Portugal international – who has already jetted off for the World Cup – hit out at Erik ten Hag, Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and the Glazer family in a revealing chat with Piers Morgan, which has sent shockwaves around Old Trafford.
Manchester United set to replace Ronaldo
Well, the Mirror believe Manchester United will accelerate their plans to replace Ronaldo after his bombshell interview, with Mbappe in their sights.
It is said that the Red Devils are able to afford the £150m fee needed to sign the France international, while they are also capable of offering him a whopping salary package worth £500,000-a-week.
Mbappe himself sent shockwaves through the football world recently after reports in France claimed he wanted to leave Paris Saint-Germain as soon as possible, after feeling that he had been misled by the Parisians.

Respected French journalist Julien Laurens was one source who reported that rumour when speaking to CBS Sports.
The Mirror add that Napoli No.9 Victor Osimhen is another option for Ten Hag, after Ronaldo admitted that he had no respect for the Dutchman in his chat with Morgan.
Mbappe – as usual – has been among the best forwards on the planet this season, scoring 19 goals in 20 appearances while also providing five assists.
Liverpool want Manchester United’s chosen Ronaldo replacement
After a number of French media outlets claimed that Mbappe wanted to leave the Parc des Princes, Liverpool were mentioned as a potential destination.
One of those outlets was El Pais, who claimed that the 23-year-old’s uncle believes a move to Anfield would be a good step in his nephew’s career, and the PSG No.7 agrees with him.
Marca added that Liverpool would be interested if the opportunity arose.
However, Manchester United may have the advantage here, after Fenway Sports Group (FSG) put Liverpool up for sale, according to The Athletic.
FSG are, therefore, highly unlikely to sanction a deal worth £150m with one eye on the exit door at Anfield, so if Ronaldo does leave Old Trafford, you would make Ten Hag the favourite to sign Mbappe ahead of Jürgen Klopp.
