The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Tottenham boss Conte has spoken directly to De Vrij over a transfer to Spurs when the window opens in January.
Conte worked with the 30-year-old Netherlands international centre-back when he was in charge of Inter.
De Vrij is out of contract at Inter at the end of the season, and his agent plans to hold talks with the former Italian champions over a new deal, according to CMW, who have added that Tottenham are ready to pounce in January should an agreement not be reached.

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to be able to sign Stefan de Vrij from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.

De Vrij is an important player for Inter, and it would make sense for the Nerazzurri to keep hold of him for the rest of the season.
Inter are aiming to finish in the top four of the Serie A table this season and have also progressed to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.
De Vrij, who earns £117,000 per week (SalarySport), has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A and has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Inter so far this season.
